At the end of every day is an excellent time to capture our thoughts and ideas from the day.
These can be our greatest wins. They can be ideas we have floating around in our heads. They can be thoughts that have been distracting us from accomplishing our tasks.
Many of you may already be doing this in some fashion. Good for you. You’ve probably found that you have gained a sense of peace at the end of a frenetic day.
For those of us who don’t do this, it’s worth giving it a try. It can be a way to clear our minds before we take on our evening with family and friends. Or, it might be jotting down that next great idea that’s been rattling around inside our heads.
One method to try is to capture your thoughts into Evernote, OneNote, Google Keep or another favorite app. If you’re still “old school,” 3×5 cards or composition books work well.
Just one thing we need to keep in mind. These notations are for our eyes only. So, because of that, these notes don’t need to have great grammar, or even complete sentences. Doodling and mind maps might also be helpful.
Try it, if only for a few of weeks.
Consider This…
– What are your 3 big wins for today or this week?
– What tasks on your ToDo list just won’t go away?
– What ideas keep waking you up at night?
